A Screencast versus a Screenshot

Simply put, a Screencast is a movie (with or without narration) of your computer screen going through an operation. A Screenshot is a still image of your computer screen. Often, screenshots may find themselves surrounded by text narration, either in a word processing program or on a web page. However, many of the same processes and best practices apply to both techniques.
